Last summer, the Mississippi Museum of Art launched Art Remix, a new and exciting musical event for downtown Jackson. Staged one Friday evening a month in July and August at the Museum’s modern and elegant facility, each event showcased three musical acts that helped jump start the weekend. Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails and spectacular bands such as Soul Rebels Brass Band, Todd Snider, The Vamps, Louis "Gearshifter" Youngblood, and Patrick Harkins Band featuring Billy Winston.

Attendees not only had fun listening to great music, but also enjoyed participating in scavenger hunts throughout the Museum's galleries for a chance to win an iPhone from AT&T.

Art Remix 2009 was such a huge success (drawing more than 1,000 people) that two more presentations have been added for the upcoming season. You are invited to relax after your workday by dropping by the Museum for refreshing beverages and great live music. You'll make new friends and enjoy beautiful summer evenings outdoors at Art Remix!
